Kristína’s work is the intersection of visual research, conceptual research and making by hands. In her projects, she often collaborates with local craftsmen with aim to preserve age-old craft techniques with contemporary perception. From fabric development, textiles and material consultancy for interior and fashion to installation, she has intuitive and imaginative approach with strong feeling of material.
Kristína has background in Textiles, completed MA degree at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia (2012-2018) and a study abroad programme at the Oslo National Academy of Arts, Norway (2014-2015).
During her studies, she undertook internship at Danish studio Beck&Kinch (2015), producing custom-made, hand-woven fabrics for interiors of Chanel boutiques and as Visual researcher at Trend Union / Studio Edelkoort in Paris (2016), which has expertise in trend-forecasting and consulting. In 2018 she worked as Assistant at Studio Marlène Huissoud in Paris.
She participated at the workshop with Faye Toogood at Domaine de Boisbuchet in France (2016) and at the workshop RAWHIDE by LOEWE + Krzysztof J. Lukasik (2018) .
She is Founder of the project Post-Process and works as Lecturer of Textile technology and Colour Theory and Design at International Fashion Academy in Paris.
